Project Summary
TMConnact is a real-time logistics communication tool developed in Flutter by Gagan Shukla, leveraging WebSockets for low-latency sync.
Case Study 05
TMConnact: Low-Latency Logistics Sync
Real-time sync bridging system for dispatcher networks over lightweight sockets and SMS.
Low Connectivity Bridging
TMConnact acts as a critical link in the transport network, solving live synchronization in extreme off-grid environments.
Logistics coordinators operating on highways or remote dispatch centers often suffer from severe internet outages. TMConnact addresses this by employing a dual-channel real-time sync structure. The primary synchronization pipeline functions over high-speed lightweight websockets, while the automated standby system operates over encrypted SMS channels to broadcast telemetry even when completely offline.
Dynamic Websockets
Continuous lightweight client-server telemetry transmission with auto reconnection protocol.
SMS Fallback Sync
Binary payload compression algorithm enabling data broadcasts over network standard SMS protocols.
System Architecture
TMConnact utilizes a dual-pipeline sync architecture. The primary data layer operates over persistent WebSockets, maintaining an active, low-overhead heartbeat between the Flutter dispatcher app and the Logistics Core server. If the TCP connection is severed due to zero network coverage, the app seamlessly switches to a highly compressed binary SMS payload system. This ensures critical GPS and telemetry data is transmitted via cellular towers without requiring a data plan.
